Our Replacement Process

So, you’ve been referred to a comfort specialist by one of our technicians or you’re thinking it’s time to upgrade. We make the process simple for our customers.

Call our office and press option 2 in our automated system. You’ll get Michelle on the phone and she’ll schedule you a FREE appointment to meet with one of our comfort specialists.

Michelle
Our comfort specialist will arrive at your home and spend some time taking measurements to perform a load calculation. Click Here to skim a very long document about load calculations provided by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (This organization is the national laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy).

To summarize this document: Load Calculations are an important part of correctly sizing an HVAC system for any home and must be performed to correctly size a unit for your home.

Meet Our Comfort Advisers:

Doug

Randy
Your comfort advisor will write you up a quote based off the load calculation. You may request to have this proposal emailed or mailed to you but, our comfort advisors prefer to be present with you when going over the proposal so they can answer any questions you may have.
Choose an option from your proposal, sign it, and you can either mail it in with a down payment (normally 50% of the cost of your system) or we can arrange to have your comfort specialist pick it up.
We’ll get your system installation on our schedule and work with you to coordinate a day and time that works best for you.
We’ll install your system. A few things to keep in mind on the day of installation:

Make sure the path to your system is clear. Our team will be hauling your old system out and the new one in. These systems aren’t small or light so a clear path is a huge help.

While we are all animal lovers it’s important to keep your pets out of the way on install day. We don’t want them getting outside or in the way while moving the system. However, if it’s alright with you and your pet they may receive a belly rub or ear scratches.

Our follow-up process

Two things need to occur to finish up your installation. The start-up and a follow-up. If possible we will try to schedule these at the same time. However, due to demands on our time during busy season this may not be possible. Michelle will call you and we can schedule both appointment in the same phone call.

Start-Up

One of our service technicians will return and perform a full check on the system. They’ll cycle it and do a thorough double check of the installation. We will also perform a SAVE Test on the system if it’s required to collect your rebates. Click here to learn more about the SAVE Program.

Follow-Up

This is so your comfort advisor can go over your new system with you and answer any questions you may have about the installation. He will also have your rebate forms to sign, a copy of your final invoice, and any other paper work that you may need to go along with your system. At this appointment, final payment on the system is expected unless financing arrangement have been made.

CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve got a new home comfort system.

If you would like to start this process you can call our office at 515-232-7777 or fill out the form on the right side of this page and Michelle will give you a call.
