Heating your home in the winter is one of the most important things in Iowa. Without the invention of modern central heating, most of us would spend a good portion of our days chopping wood in the snow. As one of Central Iowa’s Top Heating Experts, we want to ensure your home stays toasty, and your family is safe in the winter months.

Many of us in Central Iowa have a gas (either natural or propane) furnace to heat our homes. The main component in these furnaces is called the heat exchanger. It creates the heat with your gas connection to heat your home. One of the top reasons we encourage homeowners to have a furnace inspection each year is due to the heat exchanger. Over time, your heat exchanger may crack due to neglect and it can cause carbon monoxide (a colorless, odorless, and highly toxic gas) to leak into living spaces of your home, endangering you and your family. We strongly recommend you have a carbon monoxide detector in the home if you have any type of gas powering anything in the home.

Our highly trained and certified technicians can maintain and repair all brands and types of heating units, including but not limited to: gas furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps (Geothermal ground source heating and air source). In a heating emergency, please don't hesitate to give our office a call, even if it's midnight on Christmas Eve. We always have technicians on call and ready to assist your family in times of need.

In addition to repairs, we would be happy to perform a maintenance check on your furnace. Our maintenance checks include: a filter change for a standard size 1" filter, a cleaning of the burners, and other specialized checks that depend on the system in your home. A call to our office can get a heating inspection scheduled for you in no time. If you are a part of our Comfort Club Program, your furnace check-up is included in membership and you can expect a call from our dispatcher to schedule a time for your inspection.

If for some reason your system can't be repaired or it doesn't make financial sense to repair it, our technicians can refer you to one of our comfort specialists to get a quote on a new system to fit your needs.

A note for families in need:
If your family has fallen on hard times and your heating system goes out, don't hesitate to reach out to one of the many local programs that may be able to assist you. No one deserves to go without heating in the winter months. If you're unsure who to contact, please call our office and one of our team members will be happy to assist you in reaching the proper organization based on your location.
